What's That Song in the Like Crazy Trailer?
|
There are two songs featured prominently in the trailers for Like Crazy...
The first is a cover of "Can't Help Falling in Love" as performed by Ingrid Michaelson, which can be heard throughout Trailer #1 and in the second half of Trailer #2. The track was originally recorded by Elvis Presley and featured in his 1961 film Blue Hawaii, and has since been covered by numerous artists, including Doris Day, Bob Dylan, U2, Erasure, Pearl Jam, Clay Aiken, Julio Iglesias, Katharine McPhee, Harry Connick Jr, The Pretenders, Andrea Bocelli, Michael Buble, Neil Diamond, A*Teens, and UB40, who saw their version hit #1 on the charts in 1993.
The second is "Dead Hearts" by the Canadian band Stars, which is heard in the first half of Trailer #2. The track is featured on their fifth studio album, The Five Ghosts.

About the Movie (studio synopsis)
|
A love story is both a physical and emotional tale, one that can be deeply personal and heartbreaking for an audience to experience. Director Drake Doremus' film Like Crazy beautifully illustrates how your first real love is as thrilling and blissful as it is devastating. When a British college student (Felicity Jones) falls for her American classmate (Anton Yelchin) they embark on a passionate and life-changing journey only to be separated when she violates the terms of her visa. Like Crazy explores how a couple faces the real challenges of being together and of being apart. Winner of the Grand Jury Prize for Best Picture at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival and of the Special Jury Prize for Best Actress for Felicity Jones, Like Crazy depicts both the hopefulness and the heartbreak of love.

Lyrics: "Can't Help Falling in Love" by Ingrid Michaelson
|
Wise men say
Only fools rush in
But I can't help
Falling in love with you
Shall I stay?
Would it be a sin?
If I can't help
Falling in love with you
Like a river flows
Surely to the sea
Darling so it goes
Some things are meant to be
Take my hand
Take my whole life, too
'Cause I can't help
Falling in love with you
Like a river flows
So surely to the sea
Darling so it goes
Some things are meant to be
Take my hand
Take my whole life, too
'Cause I can't help falling in love with you
'Cause I can't help falling in love with you

Lyrics: "Dead Hearts" by Stars
|
Tell me everything that happened,
Tell me everything you saw
They had lights inside their eyes
They had lights inside their eyes
Did you see the closing window,
Did you hear the slamming door?
They moved forward and my heart died
They moved forward and my heart died
Please, please tell me what they looked like,
Did they seem afraid of you?
They were kids that I once knew
They were kids that I once knew
CHORUS:
I can say it, but you won't you believe me
You say you do, but you don't deceive me
It's hard to know they're out there
It's hard to know that you still care
I can say it, but you won't you believe me
You say you do, but you don't deceive me
Dead hearts are everywhere!
Dead hearts are everywhere!
Did you touch them, did you hold them?
Did they follow you to town?
They make me feel I'm falling down
They make me feel I'm falling down
Was there one you saw too clearly,
Did they seem too real to you?
They were kids that I once knew
They were kids that I once knew
CHORUS x2
They were kids that I once knew
They were kids that I once knew
Now they're all dead hearts to you
Now they're all dead hearts to you
They were kids that I once knew
They were kids that I once knew
Now they're all dead hearts to you
