A look at Jennifer Love Hewitt in her latest movie.

Random Thoughts
Commentary by Andrew Manning

This latest attempt at cashing in on childhood nostalgia looks like it could have even less of a plot than the live action Scooby-Doo flicks. Still, Bill Murray is good, and I love me some Jennifer Love Hewitt...so I guess I'll be watching whether I want to or not.

My buddy Matt Leary pointed out this bit of geek trivia: In the '80s, there was a smartly written cartoon called The Real Ghostbusters, based on the movie. In the show's first season, Peter Venkman, who was Bill Murray's character in the original film, was voiced by Lorenzo Music, who also happens to be the voice of the cartoon version of Garfield. Now, in this 2004 flick, Bill Murray has swiped Music's traditional role and is voicing the fat feline. So either this is some weird casting coincidence, or someone in the Hollywood food chain must think Bill Murray and Lorenzo Music sound alike.

If you think Garfield is fat, you should do a search on the internet for "world's fattest cat." If you delve deep enough into cyberspace, you will see some f***ed up sh** you can't un-see. Pictures of people holding their cats at the waist, only to have more cat dangling to their feet are funny enough, but there are also too many images best left to the circus freakshows.
