Synopsis provided by Warner Bros.
13 Ghosts is a state-of-the-art remake of the classic William Castle horror film about a family that inherits a spectacular old house from an eccentric uncle. There's just one problem: the house seems to have a dangerous agenda all its own. Trapped in their new home by strangely shifting walls, the family encounters powerful and vengeful entities that threaten to annihilate anyone in their path. Soon the family is joined by an offbeat ghost hunter who is determined to free the spirits imprisoned in the house. Caught in a frantic race to save themselves before it is too late, the human inhabitants realize the house is a riddle which contains the key to their imminent salvation--or destruction.
This film opens nationwide on October 26.

The Sauce

Shannon Elizabeth has seen a lot of screentime in 2001. March found her starring in the raucous comedy Tomcats. In August, she reprised her breakthrough role as hot foreign exchange student Nadia in the sequel to American Pie. And only a few weeks later, she could be seen as the leading lady in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. Now, in 13 Ghosts, she's taking a shot at horror. (Those who have seen Jack Frost--the one about a killer snowman, not Michael Keaton's ghost--might argue she is returning to her roots.)
13 Ghosts is Radio Free Entertainment's October Feature. The movie might be a fun haunted house shocker, or it might suck--we don't know yet. But we get the impression that it'll be the ideal movie in time for Halloween. So we'll be counting down the days to the release, and when the counter hits zero, we'll celebrate the debut by finally launching our Shannon Elizabeth site.
NOTE: Our Shannon Elizabeth site is actually scheduled to launch on time. Check back on Halloween for the site and our full review of 13 Ghosts.
