RadioFree.com: What can you tell us about Ultraviolet? And exactly how much butt does Milla Jovovich kick?
WILLIAM: She's a tough, tough, tough girl. Liked her a lot. Shot it over a year ago in Hong Kong. She's like a...It's hard to describe. It's not really a story about vampires, it's people that have a blood disease, and it's in the future, and it's kind of a takeoff on the old Cassavetes film Gloria. It's about a woman in a world in the future, and [she] takes on this little kid that they think they're just going to eliminate, and it's her journey.
Who do you play?
I play a real techie guy that's really in love with her, and she's like two steps up the ladder. You know, he could never be with someone like that, but really wants to do anything for her.
How did you get involved with the project?
I worked on a film with the guy who wrote it and directed it, Kurt Wimmer--a film that he did a few years ago called Equilibrium. And he's just a really great, great guy, and I would do anything for him. So when he called to ask if I would go to Hong Kong, I did.
