Here are some interesting bits of trivia from the studios...

If you were to render Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen on a modern home PC running nonstop, each IMAX shot would take almost 3 years. At that rate, you would have had to start the process approximately 16,000 years ago to get the entire movie finished in time for its June 2009 premiere. Even with the massive processing power of ILM's computing farms, a single IMAX frame can take as long as 72 hours to render.

Storage is also heavily taxed: while the first Transformers film occupied 20 terabytes of disk space, this sequel takes up 145 terabytes. That would be enough to fill 35,000 DVDs. Stacked one on top of the other without storage cases, those DVDs would tower at 145 feet.

In the climactic forest fight scene in which Optimus Prime heroically battles three Decepticons at once, the Autobot leader will be life-size on IMAX screens!
