In Margot at the Wedding, writer/director Noah Baumbach's follow-up to The Squid and the Whale, estranged sisters Margot (Nicole Kidman) and Pauline (Jennifer Jason Leigh) reunite for Pauline's wedding. But just as their relationship seems to be improving, the dysfunction between them begins to creep back into the picture. Adding to the emotional baggage are Pauline's depressed fiance (Jack Black) and Margot's equally estranged husband (John Turturro)--and it doesn't really help that Margot also has a lover on the side, and a young son.
