Already one of the best reviewed films of the year, In Bruges is a Pulp Fiction-esque action comedy loaded with violent mayhem and politically incorrect humor.
After a botched job, odd-couple hitmen Ray (Colin Farrell) and Ken (Brendan Gleeson) are temporarily exiled by their boss Harry (Ralph Fiennes) to the fairy tale-ish land of Bruges, Belgium to lay low. While there, Ken tries to make the best of the vacation, while his younger partner becomes increasingly restless and agitated. Wandering off, Ray gets entangled in his own misadventures with locals, a dwarf filming a movie, and a quirky young woman (Clemence Poesy). But their idyllic surroundings belie the fact that Harry may have something more sinister in mind for his assassins...
